Calibration Procedure for EL3020 Transmitter
1. Pre-Calibration Setup
Tools Required:
- Reference pressure source (accuracy ≤ ±0.1% FS)
- Digital multimeter (resolution 0.01 mA)
- HART communicator / Field calibration software
Safety Precautions:
- Isolate process pressure and vent the transmitter.
- Verify ambient temperature: 15–25°C (outside range requires compensation).
2. Zero & Span Adjustment

4. Post-Calibration Actions
- Seal Adjustment Screws with anti-tamper seal (if applicable).
- Update Calibration Certificate with:
- Date, technician ID
- Reference tool serial numbers
- As-found/as-left data.
- Functional Test: Simulate overpressure (110% FS) to confirm fault alarm activation (
HI-HIlimit).
Critical Notes
- Static Pressure Compensation: Required if calibration pressure ≠ operating pressure (use manufacturer’s correction formula).
- ESD Protection: Always ground test equipment before HART communication.
