DEIF IPM-1 Installation Precautions (English Version)
1. Battery Installation for RAM Backup
- Step 1: Remove the CPU module’s front cover and insert the memory backup battery into the two-prong connector on the PCB. Ensure polarity alignment1.
- Step 2: Secure the battery temporarily with cable ties or tape to prevent accidental disconnection during operation. Do not reinstall the front cover until battery connection is finalized1.
- Step 3: For Modular CPU baseplates, use the Battery Accessory Kit if power supply removal is required. Maintain baseplate mounting during this process1.
2. Power Supply Handling
- Embedded CPU models (311/313/323) may retain power supply during storage/shipping to preserve RAM data. Alternatively, use the Battery Accessory Kit without active power1.
- For long-term backup, deploy the External Battery Module (refer to DEIF manual section 6-10)1.
3. Environmental & Safety Compliance
- ESD Protection: Ground personnel and tools before PCB contact.
- Mounting: Ensure industrial-grade anti-vibration fixation for panel embedding (IP20 enclosure recommended)2.
- Temperature: Operate within 0–55°C range; avoid condensation during cold startup2.
4. Post-Installation Verification
- Confirm communication interfaces (RS-485/CAN/Ethernet) are properly terminated2.
- Check LED status: Solid green indicates normal operation; red requires diagnostic tool intervention
