Installation Steps for Woodward 8200-1302 (505D Series Digital Steam Turbine Controller)
1. Pre-Installation Preparation
1.1 Verify the product model and part number: Confirm that the controller’s model (8200-1302) and serial number match the order requirements to avoid mismatches with the turbine system.
1.2 Check the product condition: Inspect the controller’s housing, LCD screen, and terminal ports for physical damage (e.g., cracks, scratches, loose pins). If any damage is found, stop installation and contact Woodward technical support immediately.
1.3 Confirm the installation environment: Ensure the installation location meets the controller’s environmental specifications:
- Operating temperature: -30°C to 70°C (-22°F to 158°F)
- Relative humidity: ≤ 95% (non-condensing)
- No direct exposure to water, oil, dust, or corrosive gases
- Compliance with IACS UR E10 standards (for marine applications) or ATEX requirements (for hazardous areas, if applicable).
2. Mounting the Controller
2.1 Select a stable mounting surface: Choose a flat, vibration-resistant surface (e.g., the turbine control cabinet inner panel) to prevent mechanical vibration from affecting the controller’s performance.
2.2 Install mounting brackets (if included): Fix the provided mounting brackets to the controller’s side panels using M4 or M5 screws (torque: 1.5-2.0 N·m) to ensure a secure fit.
2.3 Secure the controller to the cabinet: Align the controller (with brackets) with the pre-drilled holes on the cabinet panel, and fasten it using suitable screws. Ensure the LCD screen is easily visible for subsequent operation and monitoring.
